BJP national president Nitin Gadkari's eldest son, Nikhil today tied the nuptial knot with Rituja Pathak at a family gathering on Thursday. The marriage ceremony was solemnised at a private wedding hall in Mahal in eastern part of city in presence of Gadkari and his wife Kanchan and Rituja's parents.
Her father is a staunch RSS functionary in city. The marriage ceremony was preceded by 'Shrimanti pujan', a close family affair, last night. The Gadkaris are hosting a grand reception tomorrow (Friday) at lawns of Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) at their new Stadium in Jamatha, about 18 kms from city. A galaxy of top politicians like L K Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states like Raman Singh (Chattisgarh), ArjunMunda (Jharkhand), B S Yedurappa (Karnataka), Shivraj Singh Chouhan (MP) and others, businessmen, industrialists and socialites are expected to attending the wedding reception.
Invitations have also been extended to Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, sources said. Top industrialists, Ratan Tata, Mukesh and Anil Ambani, Venugopal Dhoot, Vijay Mallaya, Rahul Bajaj and others besides bollywood stars would be visiting tomorrow.
Most of the VVIPs who are visiting would be flying here in their private aircraft. Rituja has pursued Hotel Management and is currently doing her post graduation in Sanskrit. Since the Winter Session of Maharashtra State Legislature is in progress here, all the legislators would also be attending besides the Prithivraj Chavan cabinet members.
