The Bhartiya Janata Party aims to win all the 29 Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh. The party's 'Mission 29' for a sweep will be successful, state BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar said.
"We have shown an excellent example of good governance and effective leadership," Tomar said, adding: "The popularity of our prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan plus the infighting in Congress shall work in our favour."
According to him, BJP selected the best candidates for all the seats after lots of consultations. "It did create some problems for those who did not get the ticket but we should understand that ticket distribution has many challenges and all kinds of political dynamics are associated with it," he said.
Tomar felt the Aam Aadmi Party and its chief Arvind Kejriwal have no presence in MP after having deviated from the issues it had come up with.
But party insiders are not as confident as Tomar. "We do have a wave for Modi and BJP but winning all 29 seats is just not possible. The wave can help us win 25 seats. If not, we should he happy with 18," a party worker said. Poor selection of candidates in some constituencies was the reason, he added.
