BJP leader Hema Malini escaped unhurt after her vehicle collided with a car in her convoy in Uttar Pradesh, an eyewitness said on Saturday.
The BJP parliamentarian from Mathura left a hotel in her constituency around 1pm to attend an event.
On Agra-Delhi national highway, a car in her convoy suddenly applied brakes near a speed-breaker. The other cars rammed into each other.
“Hema Malini escaped unhurt and the cavalcade proceeded to the programme venue where she was invited as chief guest,” Janardan Sharma, who was accompanying the MP, said.
A car in which Vinod Sharma, a village chief, was travelling suffered the maximum damage.
In July 2015, a child died and at least four people were injured when the actor-turned-politician’s car hit a vehicle in Rajasthan’s Dausa district. The actress had fractured her nose in the accident.
