BJP's Kisan Adhikar Yatra starts from Ambala

Led by Bharaitya Janata Party (BJP) Kisan Morcha national president Om Parkash Dhankar and the state BJP president Ram Bilas Sharma, the "Kisan Adhikar Yatra" started from Khanna Palace here on Sunday.
The BJP workers would undertake the yatra on foot and would submit a 16-demand charter to the governor in Chandigarh on Monday.
Addressing mediapersons, Dhankar said that farmers from Dera Bassi and Zirakpur would join the march en route and Chandigarh farmers would also join when the march would enter the city.
He said their demands included remunerative price for the produce, implementation of Kisan Ayog's report, interest-free loans, presentation of separate agriculture budget, and discontinuation of coercive recovery of farm loans, crop insurance and increase in fertiliser subsidy.
He also an SIT investigation into land deals of Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Sonia Gandhi, and arrest of MP Naveen Jindal for his alleged role in coal scam.
Addressing workers, Ram Bilas Sharma said it was ironic that the farmers had sought PM's permission to sell their body parts to repay their loans
All sections of society were disgruntled with the current government, he said, adding that it was time that the government quit.
MLA Anil Vij said the government had neglected agriculture and the profession instead of being lucrative had become a liability.
Former MP Rattan Lal Kataria also spoke and several former MLAs and senior party leaders were present on the occasion.
