The Bhartiya Janata Party on Sunday asked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to intervene immediately to save the life of Sarabjit Singh, who has been reportedly issued death warrant in a prison in Lahore.

Party chief Rajnath Singh asked the prime minister to immediately intervene in the matter.

Sarabjit, an Indian national, was reportedly issued a death warrant following cancellation of his mercy petition by Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf on March 3.
