CABINET RESHUFFLE, formation of BJP executive, an administrative reshuffle and the party’s road show campaign are all to be witnessed in the New Year.
Chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan left here for Tirupati, Shiridi and Nasik visit with his family on Saturday, ostensibly to invoke the blessings of the gods for a bright year for himself, his government and of course the party. He reached Shiridi on Sunday and would be returning to Bhopal on January 2.
Chouhan added Tirupati and Nasik to his programmes this year though he usually visited Shirdi every year. The State BJP president Narendra Singh Tomar has decided to touch his parents’ feet and seek their blessing in the New Year at his home town Gwalior to do his best to strengthen the party in the State and see it through successfully in the next assembly elections.
Indication is that both cabinet reshuffle and BJP executive formation would take place after Makar Sankranti when Malmas- the inauspicious month- comes to an end.
Party sources said that the executive formation is likely after the cabinet reshuffle so as to accommodate some of the leaders dropped from the council of ministers.
The hints about dropped ministers being accommodated in the executive has caused a flutter among the ministers, who are vying with one another to prove their worth. A number of ministers have met Chouhan - at his instructions to apprise him of their departments’ achievements, policies, programmes.
