The BJP will finalise on Thursday night, the list of its nominees who would be sworn-in along with the Chief Minister-designate BS Yeddyurappa on Friday, party's Karnataka unit President DV Sadananda Gowda said.
Yeddyurappa and other senior leaders will hold consultations with party General Secretary Arun Jaitley, who is arriving later on Thursday, to give final shape to the list, he told reporters in Bangalore.
Following suggestions by the party high command to induct some of the senior leaders, few members of the Legislative Council will also join the ministry, Gowda said.
In an attempt to give a good governance, the party has decided to resort to bi-monthly review of performance of ministers. "Those who do not perform to the satisfactory level will be cautioned and if they fail to improve, they will be replaced," he said.
Gowda hinted that a 25-member ministry was expected to assume office on Friday and the ministry expanded after a month. The size of the ministry is pegged at 34 in Karnataka as per the constitutional cap which stipulate that it shall not exceed 15 per cent of the assembly strength.
