Irked over hike in the price of essential commodities, including fuel and alleging 'step-motherly' treatment by the Centre towards Orissa, BJP on Wednesday announced it would issue a supplementary manifesto for the next general election and the state assembly poll.
State BJP president Suresh Pujari claimed that the party's electoral prospect had got better in the wake of its success in Karnataka and it was ready to face an election anytime.
He said different committees like one for co-ordination with the electoral partner BJD, election committee, disciplinary committee and others were constituted far before the coming elections.
Replying a querry, he said the delimitation of constituencies in the state had changed the character of at least 141 of 147 assembly seats and 13 of the 21 Lok Sabha constituencies in Orissa.
The 8-year alliance with BJD would continue in the next election, he added.
