J-K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) on Thursday charged the BJP with adopting "divide and rule" policy to sabotage protests against shifting of AIIMS from here and
made an appeal to all social and political organisations to remain united for their demand to have the institution in Jammu.
"The BJP of indulging in 'divide and rule' policy to sabotage the AIIMS agitation and to remain glued to power," JKNPP Chairman Harsh Dev Singh Chairman told reporters here.
Former minister made an appeal to all social and political organisations to remain united to oppose, expose and depose all such opportunist forces who were working against the interests of Jammu for their personal gains.
Singh alleged that after having succeeded in cajoling the AIIMS co-ordination committee (ACC) to call off the agitation, though temporarily, BJP was now trying to cause dissensions in the ACC by spreading rumours.
The saffron party was planting stories in the media so as to give false and misleading impression that the amalgam had split following differences, he alleged.
He accused the BJP of approaching the constituents of coordination committee and persuading them to snap ties with the ACC in a bid to sabotage the movement on AIIMS.
JKNPP Chief also ridiculed the attempts of BJP to damage the peoples' agitation saying no amount of lobbying could stop the people of Jammu region, who were completely united and fully prepared, to launch a decisive battle against the party on issues including AIIMS, Delimitation, West Pakistan Refugees (WPR) and PoK refugees rights and empowerment of Jammu with equitable share in all sectors.
Accusing the BJP of indulging in "hypocrisy and deception" on all its promises, Singh said that people of Jammu region had no reason to believe its assurances on AIIMS.
