Karnataka Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa on Tuesday expressed confidence of the BJP sweeping the polls in 24 out of the 28 seats in Karnataka and the BJP leader L K Advani becoming the Prime Minister.

The Congress would be wiped out after the parliamentary polls, the Chief Minister told the media.

He said the BJP had spent 22 per cent more on developmental activities in the state compared to the Congress.

He accused the centre of meting out step-motherly treatment to the state on developmental works.

Leaders Shasheel Namoshi of Gulbarga, Gurupadappa Nagamarpalli and his son Suryakanth Nagamarpalli (candidates for Lok Sabha and Assembly respectively) and district BJP President Baburao Madakatti were among those present.
