STATE BHARATIYA Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Dhiraj Pateria on Friday declared that his organisation would launch a Statewide agitation to protest the shoddy quality of grain being used in the Public Distribution System (PDS).
“The Centre is distributing grain which is fed to cattle in foreign countries to lower-middle class and below poverty line (BPL) consumers through PDS shops,” charged Pateria during a meeting with mediapersons at the Indore Press Club on Friday morning.
The Yuva Morcha chief also accused the Centre of adopting ‘anti-youth’ policies and predicted that it would have to pay the price for this in the not too distant future.
Queried about the BJYM’s future course of action, Pateria declared that his organisation had decided to branch off into ‘creative activities’. “Instead of remaining restricted to politics we are thinking of moving into the creative field.
This would not only provide a healthy outlet for our cadres, but also help us attract new members,” declared the BJYM president.
