A British Airways commercial flight carrying Prime Minister Tony Blair has overshot runway at Miami International Airport but no one was hurt.
Airport officials said the Boeing 747-300, carrying 343 passengers and crew had arrived from London and slid off the runway after landing around 1815 local time (4.45 am IST on Wednesday).
Blair was on the plane along with immediate family members, Miami Herald quoted US Secret Service as saying. Blairs, who were flying first class, came for vacation in Miami Area, agency spokesman Darrin Blackford said.
The Secret Service, Herald said, did not have any agents on the plane, but the agency is providing protection for the British government leader and his family during their South Florida visit.
