To spread awareness about the voter's participation in the upcoming election, a blood donation camp under the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation Plan (SVEEP) of Election Commission was organised at Katra in Reasi.

The camp was inaugurated by Reasi deputy commissioner Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.

The campaign "donate blood for democracy-one drop of blood for nation" is an electoral awareness drive under the SVEEP campaign launched by Jashn-e-Jamhuriat in the district for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Election observer SG Raveendra interacted with the donors and the organisers. The camp was organised by the Katra municipal committee in collaboration with the Nirankari mission.

More than 40 youths and volunteers donated blood in the camp and oath for electoral participation was also administered at the venue.

Electronic voting machine (EVM) familiarisation camp was also organised at the venue and the booth level officers displayed the latest voter list.

Around 20 new voters were added at blood donation camp. The ECI observer appreciated the innovative practices adopted by the district administration.
