The latest trend to have caught the fancy of Bollywood actresses is the keyhole neckline. Actress Kalki Koechlin flaunted the kehole neckline on a blouse at an awards function recently, and actress Jacqueline Fernandes followed suit at another awards function a month ago. Actress Shamita Shetty too wore a bright blue dress with a keyhole neckline at an IPL party.
Fashion designers opine that the keyhole neckline gives a chic look to the outfit. Designer Anjana Bhargav says, “It is a good experiment and looks sensuous. Deep U and V cuts can often get boring and mundane. You can try this on a sari blouse, a dress or even a traditional kurta.”
However, a keyhole neckline should be well placed on a garment to make it look attractive. If one does not want to go for a low revealing neckline, they can opt for a smaller one as they look equally interesting. Designer Taniya Khanuja says, “It looks appealing and gives a curve if a Chinese band is attached to it. They look best on traditional cholis, ruffled dress and gowns”
Designers, however, warn if wrongly cut, the size of the neckline could spoil the complete look of the dress.
