Blue House wins overall championship

BLUE HOUSE on Friday won the overall team championship trophy securing 390 points in the St Joseph’s Co-Ed School annual sports meet for the primary section organised at the school playground. The meet began on Friday.
Red House won the second prize with 255 points, while Green House finished third with 225 points.Chief guest of the opening ceremony, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia, inaugurated the meet. West Central Railway DRM Ashok K Agarwal was the special guest. Archbishop of Bhopal Dr Pascal Topno was also present on the occasion.
Various athletic events were held on the inaugural day. Red House won the first position in the 4x100m relay race for boys, while Green House stood second. Blue House had to be content with the third position.
Girls brought cheers to the Blue House winning the first position in the 4x100 relay race. Red House won the second position and Yellow House finished third in the same category.
In the ‘chikki chik chik’ race for boys, Upmanya Shukla and Puneet Parve of Blue House won the first position, while Aditya Sharma and Vaibhav Pardesi of Green House got the second prize. Sanjay Umarwani and Aditya Vijayvargiya of the Yellow had to be content with the third prize.
There were other races also like temptation race, drawing the tide race, fishing beans race and pop goes the balloon race etc.
Earlier, principal of the school Fr Maria Stephen and manager Fr Abraham welcomed the chief guest and the special guest. Headmistress of the school Sr Mercy, head coordinator Sr Julie, nuns, priests and a large number of parents were also present on the occasion. Headboy of the school Syed Samar Mehdi and head girl Tarleen Kaur proposed the vote of thanks.
The sports meet will conclude tomorrow. Minister of Culture and Mineral Resources Laxmikant Sharma will be the chief guest,
while Minister for Revenue Kamal Patel will preside over.
