On a request from Uttar Pradesh’s Anti-Terrorist Squad, the bodies of two alleged Pakistani terrorists have been buried as per Muslim rituals by an NGO.

The men were killed in an encounter with police on January 25.

Uttar Pradesh additional director-general of police Brij Lal had recently on a Noida visit, told the local police to dispose of the bodies lying at the Noida mortuary through an NGO as nobody had claimed the bodies from Pakistan.

Chief medical superintendent of the district hospital Rajrani Kansal said: “On Sunday afternoon, policemen had taken the bodies of two Pak terrorists from the post mortem house mortuary at Sector 94 where bodies were kept since January 25.”

Noida Muslim Welfare Association president MZ Khan said: “On Sunday evening in the presence of Anti-Terrorist Squad members and few local Muslims, bodies of the two dead Muslim persons claimed to be Pak terrorists were buried at sector 94 burial ground as per Muslim religion rituals.”

On January 25, in a pre-dawn shootout, the duo were killed in Noida by ATS and Noida police.

The dead persons were identified as Farooq, resident of Okara in Pakistan, and Abu Ismail from Rawalkot(POK).
