Days after three bullet-ridden bodies were found in north Kashmir, police have found another body of a 30-year-old man in Tangmarg of Baramulla district of the state.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the body, dressed in combat uniform, was recovered in Devbug is of Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, a Hizbul Mujahideen militant and resident of Wailo Pattan.

On Monday, local residents had found bullet-ridden bodies of three young men in an orchard in the village of Shutz Dangerpora Nihalpora in Pattan of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The incident had triggered violent protests in parts of the Valley though police said they may have been killed due to a rivalry between two militant groups.

Senior police officers suggest this could also be a result of inter-group rivalry between Hizbul Mujahideen and its breakaway faction Lashkar-e-Islam, led by a local militant Qayoom Najar.
