AAMIR KHAN has got the muscle he needed now.

Three days after his Fanaa ran into trouble with the BJP in Gujarat, the actor on Monday got the verdict of his colleagues: "We stand with you."

Bollywood biggies -- producers, directors and actors -- came together to condemn the unofficial ban on Fanaa in Gujarat and pledged their support to Aamir. Amit Khanna, president of the Film and Television Producers' Guild of India said: "The film industry stands united and supports Aamir Khan and protests against suppression of the industry's freedom of expression."

Pahlaj Nihalani, president of the Association of Motion Pictures and Television Programme Producers, said: "The film industry is always targeted. First it was Jo Bole So Nihaal, then it was Fanaa. How can we allow this to happen?" Speaking on the Aamir's statements on Narmada dam oustees that led to the unofficial ban in Gujarat, director Aziz Mirza said, "He has only spoken in support of the Supreme Court judgment, that the Narmada dam displaced should be appropriately rehabilitated. It's ridiculous on part of people to protest his statements."
