Deepika Padukone has replaced Preity Zinta in the BSNL ads, Katrina Kaif has taken over from Aishwarya Rai for Nakshatra Diamonds and Priyanka Chopra is the reigning Bollywood queen for Lux and Ponds.

The three are nudging established actresses off their endorsement deals and taking over the big screen. Katrina’s Singh is Kinng has broken box office records set by Deepika’s Om Shanti Om. Priyanka is set to rule in the coming months with a slew of big-budget productions that include Karan Johar’s Dostana.

Ad guru Alyque Padamsee confirms that “they are the fresh selling faces currently. Katrina replacing Aishwarya and Deepika replacing Preity means that the advertisers feel that the public needs new faces.”

Katrina’s not resting on her laurels post Singh is Kinng. The actress has some exciting movies lined up — Hello, Ajab Prem Ki Gajab Kahaani, Yuvraj and Rave Party. Besides Nakshatra, Kat has endorsed Kodak, Slice, Spice Telecom, Veet, Dyna, Godrej and Idea. She has been voted this year’s World’s Sexiest Woman by FHM magazine and this month graces the cover of fashion mag Grazia.

Priyanka Chopra hasn’t done too well after Krrish, but she has an impressive list of releases in the coming months — Chamku, Drona, Dostana and Fashion. She has also signed on Ashutosh Gowariker’s What’s Your Raashee? and Feroz Khan’s Kurbani.

“I’ve been working and working... I have four films up for release. I should be back in action again,” says Priyanka.
Deepika Padukone doesn’t have quite as impressive a list of projects in hand as the other two but her next releases are opposite the reigning Bollywood czars — Chandni Chowk to China with Akshay Kumar and a special appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s Billo Barber.

The actress says she believes in picking only quality projects. “I am reading a lot of scripts but will make a formal announcement only once they get finalised.”

Deepika has a lavish list of endorsements. Besides BSNL, she has Parachute, Kingfisher, Maybelline and Levi’s and is also associated with Empire Real Estate in Dubai. She topped Maxim’s Hot 100 list.

Their fees reflect their position — their endorsement fees have seen a steep rise and are now between Rs 1.5 and 2.25 crore.
