Bomb exploded on Assam rail track

Suspected militants exploded a bomb on a railway track between Maibongdisa and Harangajao stations in central Assam's North Cachhar district this morning.

Railway sources said three compartments of a goods train were damaged in the explosion. There was, however, no reports of injury to any person.

Police have rushed to the area and an inquiry was on.
