For the second time in a week, police evacuated and scoured a packed multiplex in West Delhi after it received a phone call claiming that explosives were planted in its complex.
The call was declared a hoax after 2hours search by bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs, which were rushed to the Satyam theatre complex at Janakpuri after the local police station received the anonymous message at 7:45 pm.
Police emptied the theatre packed with people watching latest Hindi flicks Omkara, Golmaal and Krishh amidst panic.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (West District) Robin Hibu said police was trying to trace the call to nab the mischief-maker.
This is the third incident of bomb scare at a cinema hall in the capital after the serial blasts in Mumbai.
Earlier, PVR Plaza and Satyam theatre, Patel Nagar had received the hoax calls about bombs being placed there.
Police had been inundated with hoax calls, most of them pranks by adolescents, after the terror attacks in the western megapolis triggering searches at the India Gate, AIIMS, Akshardham Temple, PVR Plaza, Gurdwara Sis Ganj, Red Fort and Satyam theatre.
