Police, with the help of sniffer dogs and bomb disposal squad, made a thorough search. But the threat proved to be a hoax. However, unwilling to take any risk, authorities cancelled the screening of films on Thursday, police said.

Police said a teacher had received an anonymous call on Wednesday evening that a bomb was planted inside the film festival venue and it would go off this morning. When she informed the police this morning, a search was conducted.
