india Updated: Oct 14, 2006 17:33 IST

UNION HRD Minister Arjun Singh on Friday released a book — Sanchi Rediscovered: A Journey Through Time.  It is a compilation of (late) Bipin Ghoshal’s manuscripts, correspondence and notings by his granddaughter Susheila Ghoshal. Bipin was superintendent at the King Edward Museum during the erstwhile Bhopal state.

Arjun Singh lauded the efforts of Susheila in compiling and editing the book at a simple function organised at Campion School.

Archeological Survey of India, Bhopal Circle, Superintendent K K Mohammad shed light on the book’s content and described it as a historian’s delight.

While narrating its central idea, Susheila enlightened the audience about various known and unknown facts about the World Heritage Site — Sanchi.  Bhopal Archbishop Pascal Topno presided over the function and Indira Iyengar proposed the vote of thanks.
