Brazilian plane crash kills six family members

The two-engine Seneca PA-34 was piloted by a Brazilian Air Force officer, accompanied by his wife and 2 children.

Six members of a family were feared killed when a Brazilian plane plunged into the Atlantic off the southeastern coast of Brazil, according to local media reports.

The cause of the mishap on Saturday off the Brazilian state of Espirito Santo was not immediately known.

The plane was flying from the provincial capital Vitoria to Salvador de Bahia and plunged into the sea about 20 minutes after takeoff.
