Jammu State Morcha in communiqué to Parkash Javadekar, the minister of state holding independent charge of information and broadcasting, has urged him to withdraw the order issued by the information and broadcasting ministry under the outgoing regime to close down the yuva vani service operating under Jammu radio station.

In the letter it has been explained that the channel has done a marvelous job from the date of its inception in 1974 by holding programs concerning youth and has been helpful in creating better understanding among people on both sides of the border. The move to close down the channel will affect number of people who have been working here.

JSM also urged the minister for starting Duggar channel in Jammu as it could be used to counter the anti-India porpaganda and present the Indian point of view to the people on other side of the border.
