BSF nabs 7 trying to enter Pakistan

Border Security Force personnel caught seven men claiming to be Myanmar nationals when they were trying to enter Pakistan at Dera Baba Nanak near Batala on Saturday.

Border Security Force personnel caught seven men claiming to be Myanmar nationals when they were trying to enter Pakistan at Dera Baba Nanak near Batala on Saturday.

The seven were identified as Mohammad Salib Vishwas, Abdul Ali, Mohammad Shah, Mohammad Chini Vishwas, Alam Vishwas, Bablu Mian, and Jeevan Ghosh. The seven said that a travel agent called Anwar had promised them a job in Pakistan and had taken Rs 2,000 from each of them.

When they reached Dera Baba Nanak railway station, they said, Anwar left saying he would be back after buying eatables. He failed to return after which they started marching towards the border.

They were caught by personnel of the BSF's 153 Battalion and were handed over to the police.

Pak infiltrator caught

The Border Security Force caught a Pakistani national, Nayamat Ali, entering India illegally through the fence near Kakkar post in the Attari sector on Saturday. The accused is a resident of Lahore. A case was registered after he was handed over to the Gharinda police.
