Border security force (BSF) troops foiled an infiltration bid in Hiranagar tehsil of Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.

BSF spokesperson said that the troops noticed suspected movement of infiltrators near the zero line on international border in Bobiya forward border outpost in Hiranagar tehsil during mid night.

The troops opened fire following which they returned to the Pakistani side, he said.

During search conducted in the area this morning, blood stains were found in the area, he said.
The infiltration bid took place in the "most-vulnerable" via Tarnah nallah area in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district.
