BSP leader Harwinder Kalyan quits party

Ahead of the assembly elections, a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, Harvinder Kalyan, has quit the party. Kalyan, a former youth Congress leader, had joined Haryana Janhit Congress before joining the BSP in 2009. He had unsuccessfully contested the 2009 assembly polls from Ghraunda seat.

Ahead of the assembly elections, a Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leader, Harvinder Kalyan, has quit the party. Kalyan, a former youth Congress leader, had joined Haryana Janhit Congress before joining the BSP in 2009. He had unsuccessfully contested the 2009 assembly polls from Ghraunda seat.

Once a known supporter of the late Bhajan Lal faction of the Congress, Kalyan said he was in consultation with his supporters to decide his future political course. A qualified civil engineer, Kalyan remained active in the Congress for nearly 18 years.
