BSP worker injured in acid attack

SOME UNIDENTIFIED persons threw acid on Shoeb Ahmad, a BSP worker in Akbarpur locality. The incident took place in Kareilly police station late at Tuesday night.

SOME UNIDENTIFIED persons threw acid on Shoeb Ahmad, a BSP worker in Akbarpur locality. The incident took place in Kareilly police station late at Tuesday night.

The victim was admitted to the SRN Hospital. Sources said that when the incident took place Shoib was sleeping outside his shop.

Looted: A resident of Tikri village under Ghurpur police station Rambali was waylaid and attacked by a band of miscreants who robbed him of his gold chain and cash. The incident took place near Jasra railway line. The victim was rushed to the SRN Hospital.

Suicide attempts: Driven by debt, a shop owner, Ratnesh, resident of Shararabagh locality tried to end his life by consuming some poisonous substance. He has been admitted to the SRN hospital.

In another case, Rajeev Nath (28), resident of Jilada under Handia police station consumed some poisonous substance in a bid to end his life. He has been admitted to the SRN hospital. Failure in carrying out some contract work was stated to be the cause for his suicide bid,

One dies another injured: Gajendra Mauraya 30 resident of Jahangirebad, Saini succumbed to his injuries on the spot and another person Sangam Lal was injured after the bullock cart in which they were carrying watermelon to the Ajuha market was hit by an unidentified vehicle.

One dies four injured:  One person was killed and four sustained injuries when the vehicle carrying them overturned Thanipur under Gopiganj police station. The deceased was identified as Nisar Ahmad resident of Hardoi district. The driver of the vehicle Hori Lal,Mehdi Hasan, Arif and another unidentified persons were admitted to the SRN Hospital.
