Running from the holy city of Puri to the temple city of Bhubaneswar, the four year, three-months old Budhia Singh on Tuesday found a place in the Limca Book of Records.

Braving the scorching heat, the wonder kid covered 65 kms in seven hours two minutes and entered the Limca Book of Records as the youngest child in the world to achieve the feat.

Budhia was to cover 70 km from the Jagannath Temple in Puri to the CRPF Group centre in Bhubaneswar but was stopped just a few kms away from the reception venue as the accompanying doctor noticed that he was exhausted.

As he entered the city, a huge rush of people started garlanding him, making him breathless. CRPF Medical Officer Dr J Naik, who was with Budhia all along, forced him to stop.

The wonder kid was presented a trophy by CRPF group centre head and Additional Deputy Inspector General B S Gill for his achievement. On the way from the Jagannath temple in Puri to the state capital, hundreds of people stood at several places to witness the feat and congratulate the kid for fulfilling his dream.

Limca Book of Records Assistant Editor Amreen Toor also was present at the reception venue.
