An old two-storey private building which was in the process of being demolished in Parraypora area of Srinagar collapsed this morning, police said.

Six people have been extricated from the debris so far. It is not clear how many people are trapped under the debris. Those rescued said there were 10 people working inside when the building came down, police said.
The old building was being razed for new construction when the crane that was being used to pull it down crashed on the building causing it to collapse, police said.
