After over three months when Lahual and Spiti was cut off from rest of the world due to heavy snowfall, bus service resumed in the district on Tuesday.

Superintendent of Police SR Rana flagged off resumption of state-owned bus service from the district headquarters of Keylong to Darcha, official sources said.

Lahual & Spiti, also known as the "cold desert", was cut off from the rest of the world by road from December 15 last due to heavy snowfall.

Government-run helicopter service was the only means to move in and out of the district during this period.
