1 Coordinate colours: One of the challenges while designing your living room is colour coordination. It is always a good idea to stick to two shades and coordinate the furniture colour with that on the wall. Don't make it monotonous by using the same colour on the walls and furniture but make sure you don't pick pink sofa to go with brown tables and cream walls.
2 Leave some room to breathe: Your living room shouldn't look cramped.Do not keep picking furniture because you like them. Visualise and assess if your room has enough space
3 The right tables: Buy tables that complement the style of your seating. Don't limit yourself to a single coffee table; continue your user-friendly approach with chests, end tables and flat-top ottomans that can hold guests' plates and glasses during a party.
4 Do not over-accessorise: Liven up your living room with beautiful accessories, but don't spread them around haphazardly. You need to make it work together using shelves to hold a collection of teacups or an armoire with a glass front to show your rocks and seashells. These displays don't interfere with life in the living room.
