Cricket fans in Mumbai, most of whom were deprived of watching live action of the Malaysian tri-series encounter between Australia and West Indies on Tuesday due to a TV black-out by major cable operators, are hoping that they would be able to watch Thursday's clash between India and the Caribbeans.
The bone of contention between the cable operators and the Indian right holders for the tournament, Zee Sports, is the subscription fees charged by the latter for accessing the channel.
"We did not show the match yesterday as Zee Sports has increased the subscription rates steeply," said a south Mumbai cable operator.
"Barring a couple of operators, others did not show the match yesterday. Talks are going on to resolve the dispute (between the cable operators and the sports channel). There's a reasonably good chance of it being settled before tomorrow's match," he added.
