Walk-in interviews may be the norm these days, but Delhi University, with the exception of colleges like SRCC and FMS, were so far untouched by the phenomenon. On Monday, however, a well-known multinational firm held interviews for students at DU for the first time and 10 students found themselves gainfully employed by the end of the day.
Delhi University Students’ Union organised the placement cell at Khalsa College. In future, students can email their resumes at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop them at the DUSU office.
On Monday, HCL visited DU, but this will be a more regular feature with companies like Daksh, Inox and NIIT expressing interest in hiring from the campus. Jaswinder Singh, DUSU advisor and principal of Khalsa College, said all the placements would be held at Khalsa College given its location.
