A BMW car rammed into a motorcycle near Sector-71 crossing on Friday night, injuring two persons. Police say they have arrested the errant driver.

“The man who was driving the car is Hemant Kumar, the general manager of a garment export unit at sector 64. He was returning home from the factory when the car collided with a motorcycle near sector 71 crossing around 8.30 on Friday night. A case of negligent driving has been registered and Kumar has been arrested,” said V.C. Tripathi, Deputy Superintendent of Police.

“The injured were identified as Bharat Singh, resident of Faizabad and Manbir Singh, resident of Sikandrabad. Both work at a Noida factory and live in sector 71,” said Tripathi.

“While Bharat was admitted at Tripathi Hospital, Manbir was sent to a Delhi hospital as his leg was continuously bleeding,” informed Tripathi.

“Initial investigations have revealed that the BMW car and the bike were not driving at very high speeds when the collision took place. Kumar was put through a liquor test but was not found under the influence of liquor,” said Tripathi.

“Bharat’s condition was stated to be stable till late Saturday evening,” said Dr.Nidhi Tripathi.
