Carmel, Ratanpur holds investiture ceremony

THE INVESTITURE ceremony of the newly elected school cabinet was held at Carmel Convent Senior Secondary, School, Ratanpur, with great zeal. Anuradha Shankar DIG, Bhopal Range was the chief guest and Rev. Fr. Sibi Joseph the guest of honour.

The programme began with the lighting of a lamp followed by unfurling of the school flag .A prayer dance was performed. Head Boy Nikhil Andani of XII B, Head Girl Prachiti Kawley of XII B and School Vice-Captain G.Ramya of XI A took oath. Shashank Jain, Kartik Nam Joshi and  Anubha Pathak were sworn in as Niagra House Captain, Victoria House Captain and Angel House Captain respectively.

Principal Sr Pavithra urged to the students to inculcate the spirit of patriotism, democracy, unity and fraternity. School Cabinet was also installed in which Krishnakanth Bhadoria was given the portfolio of sports minister, Anushila Das - academics minister, Suvarna Borkar- environment minister, Shashank Dhariwal- cultural minister, Vallari Agarwal- discipline minister, Parth Tiwari —science and technology minister and Shruti Sharma & Priyanka Kamdar- social service minister.

Folk dances were the other highlights of the ceremony. The chief guest admired the outstanding efforts of the students whole-heartedly and wished them bright future. She quoted “Everybody should give much more to the nation than what one receives from it”.

Meritorious students of X & XII won prizes and scholarships for their remarkable performance in board examinations.
