Carmel students shine at Science Congress

CARMELITES WON laurels and accolades for the school at National Children’s Science Congress 2006 during State level Science Congress held at Shahdol. Strenuous efforts and efficacy marked the presentation of Priyamvada Shukla. Aditya Shastri, Sakshi Shukla, and Garima Purohit.

The main theme of their presentation was “Biodiversity – Nurture Nature for the Future”. The sub theme was ‘Biodiversity in Man Made Ecosystem’. The subject was soil macro fauna as indicator of soil health. They explored the role of macro fauna in indicating the soil health. Priyamvada Shukla will represent her group at the National level Science Congress on December 28 at Gangtok. She is all set to prove her mettle at the national level under the guidance of Dr Babita Jain and Dr Shikha Bhatnagar.

Team of Krati Mishra, Vanisha Dubey, Shivani Sharma, Anuradha Godrey and Shivangi Jain gave a presentation on Anthropogenic Impact on Aquatic Biodiversity; Priyamvada Shukla presented her research work on Earthworms – their biodiversity and behaviour. Two teams were selected for the zonal level. School Principal Sr Pavithra congratulated and blessed the students.
