CARMICHAEL HOUSE, the premium home textile brand from S Kumars, has opened its first outlet at Treasure Island Mall in the City. The store has come up with a wide array of bedroom furnishing, table fabric, designer upholstery, curtains, kitchen and bathroom linen and accessories. The products will be priced at premium, mid and economy range.
Total Home Expressions (a division of S Kumars) CEO Aloke Banerjee told media persons that the company plans to open 100 outlets in 100 days. “The first outlet was opened in Mumbai on August 2 and we aim to open 100 outlets by November third week.”
The company is targeting a turnover of Rs 220 to Rs 240 crore on an annualised basis. SKNL plans to take the franchisee route for 72 outlets while it will set up 28 shops on its own.
“The aim is to optimise and find correct retail solution as retail margins are higher,” Banerjee said. The company plans to introduce three new designs everyday at the outlets.
Carmichael House has signed Sushmita Sen as its brand ambassador. The company has spent Rs 18 crore on advertising this year.
The company also plans to open five more exclusive outlets in Madhya Pradesh including another outlet in the City.
