CRICKET CLUB of Indore (CCI) and Vijay Club on Friday entered the final of the YC-J S Anand Adroit Trophy Twenty20 cricket tournament being played at the Yeshwant Club grounds.
The strong teams of Indore will clash for the coveted trophy on December 3. Two semifinal matches were played on Friday. The first semifinal was played between CCI and Star Club. Batting first, CCI scored 190/5 in the allotted 20 overs. Himalay Sagar blasted a hurricane 64 in just 36 balls with 10 hits to the fence and one over the fence while Jatin Saxena scored 46 in 23 balls with six boundaries and one six. Yogendra Panchal took two wickets.
Chasing the target of 191, Star Club managed to score just 157 in 20 overs. Ashutosh Savner batted well to score a brisk 44 in 38 balls with six boundaries. Manjeet Singh bowled brilliantly to capture four wickets and helped his team defeat Star Club by 34 runs.
The second semifinal was played between Vijay Club and Indore Sports. Vijay Club defeated Indore Sports by six wickets. Indore Sports won the toss and opted to bat first. Precise bowling by Amol Kokje and Amit helped their team skittle out Indore Sports for 111 runs.
Kunal Goswami batted well to score 41 in 22 balls with seven boundaries and one huge six. Amol Kokje bowled well to capture three wickets while Amit took two wickets.
In reply, Vijay Club scored 112 runs losing four wickets. Ranji discard Sachin Dholpure batted well to score 33 in 34 balls with three boundaries and one six while Jitendra Likhar scored 27 in 18 balls. Sandeep took two wickets.
