Foodies, get set for the 8th International Chefs Award 2011 brought to you by the Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) and Indian Federation of Culinary Associations in association with HT City. The eighth edition of the event will choose and honour chefs from the Capital who have spiced up the city’s culinary scene.



Leading chefs from top city hotels will pick up winners across 15 different categories, among hundred participants. Some of the award categories this year include Golden Hat Chef award, Silver Hat Chef Award, Master chef for different cuisine, Kitchen Artist award, Food Critic award, Lady Chef of the Year award, and Lifetime achievement award, among others. The awards will culminate into a grand ceremony that will be held at The Ashok on November 2.



The awards night will also host a fashion show where chefs will walk the ramp along with children from NGO Khushii. “Apart from choosing one master chef who’s taken a particular cuisine to a new level, the awards provide a great platform for upcoming chefs too,” says chef Suman Sharma, general secretary, ICF. One of the highlights of the food event will be eight different live counters put together by participating chefs.
