In a bid to ensure free and fair polling during by-election for 11 assembly and one parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh, central para-military forces will be deployed along with the state police.
"The Election Commission is drawing a security deployment plan according to which CPF will be deployed in adequate number along with state police," ECI Officer on Special Duty Vinod Zutsi, who was here to review poll preparations, told reporters.
Zutsi said that daily review of security was being done and arrangements will be made accordingly.
Expressing satisfaction over poll preparations, the OSD said that the ECI had already directed that officers related with the poll process, who have spent three years or more, should be shifted out of the district.
"The ECI had also sought details from the Chief Electoral Officer and will examine their complaints and action will be taken accordingly," he said and added that during meeting, representatives of various political parties have submitted complaints.
Earlier in the day Zutsi held meeting with the top government officials, district magistrate and SSPs of districts where election will be held.
"As of now there is no major complaint from the observers and they too have expressed their satisfaction over the process so far," the ECI OSD said.
Regarding to a question on ministers visiting districts, he said that there was no restriction on their movement unless and until they misuse their post or position and violate the model code of conduct.
