Senior Congress leader Gulchain Singh Charak has conducted an extensive tour of Arnia and border area in Bishnah constituency. He visited different wards of Arnia town, where maximum houses of the people living below poverty line have been badly damaged or at some places have been reduced to the ground due to the recent incessant rains.
Charak demanded from the government to direct the municipal committee, Arnia, to prepare a proper list of the affected people at war-footing and extend immediate financial help to the sufferers so as to help them in building their houses again.
He also visited Dhamala causeway, which interconnects whole of the border area of Bishnah constituency and always become a trouble spot during the rainy season.
Charak expressed his concern, especially this time when people on both sides of the causeway remained secluded for eight consecutive days thus making the area unapproachable.
He demanded that the bridge on the crucial Dhamala causeway be constructed immediately on priority so as to make the life of people, living on the either side, comfortable.
