Sachin Tendulkar has been added to a star-studded World XI which will take on Pakistan in a charity Twenty20 cricket match at the Oval on July 10.
Tendulkar will join his skipper Rahul Dravid and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, fresh from India's Test series victory in the West Indies, as well as some other superstars of world cricket such as Brian Lara and Muttiah Muralitharan.
Confirming Tendulkar's availability for the match, Surrey chief Paul Sheldon said Tendulkar's presence would go a long way in ensuring the day is a success.
"I'd like to thank Sachin for his support in this event and previous charity matches held at the Brit Oval," he said.
"It is fantastic to have one of the world's greatest batsmen on show. His presence, along with the other great players on display, will go a long way to ensuring that the day will be a huge success," Sheldon added.
Around 13,000 tickets have already been sold for the game which is aimed at raising funds for the Pakistan earthquake relief fund.
Pakistan are expected to make their best team available for the fixture even though it is scheduled to take on England in the first Test just three days later.
Tendulkar has not played international cricket since sustaining a shoulder injury during India's home series against England in March. But he has been testing his match fitness in a series of appearances for Lashings World XI.
World XI line-up will include:- Rahul Dravid (captain), Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wkt), Sachin Tendulkar, Muttiah Muralitharan, Brian Lara, Chris Cairns, Makhaya Ntini, Andrew Hall, Scott Styris, Azhar Mahmood, Mohammad Akram, Saqlain Mushtaq.
