The Maharashtra government announced on on Friday it has despatched two buses to evacuate 150 IIT students from the state who are stranded in flood-hit Chennai in response to an SOS from them.
The Maharashtra government announced on Friday has arranged two buses to evacuate about 150 Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) students hailing from the state who were stranded in flood-hit Chennai.
“Around 150 students from Maharashtra studying at @iitmadras were stranded in #ChennaiFloods and got in touch with Maharashtra govt,” chief minister Devendra Fadnavis tweeted.
“Maharashtra Govt immediately arranged for 2 buses from Bengaluru for the stranded students & will ensure that they reach home soon,” he said.
