With everything being available on web portals these days, online music classes are becoming the latest introduction to it.
Taking a step into the direction Chennaionline on Thursday said it will launch online music coaching 'e-music' classes from December 10.
The classes would be in form of video lessons whereby a student could download the lesson and practice. Each module of half-an-hour duration could be downloaded for $6.95, Portal's CEO L Ravichandran said in Chennai.
"We decided to cater to the growing demand of online music classes through www.chennaionline.com ensuring that it seems similar to that of a master or guru sitting in front of students and teaching them," he said.
The portal also proposes to offer online courses in other subjects, Ravichandran told reporters.
Out of each download fee of $6.95, $1 would go to a trust to be created to help indigenous artists.
