A constable of the Chhattisgarh Armed Forces (CAF) committed suicide after killing his platoon commander and a head constable in Bastar district, police said on Saturday.
CAF 8th battalion constable M Minj opened indiscriminate fire and injured another colleague before hanging himself to death at the Kondagaon area of Bastar, about 250 km south of capital Raipur.
"It's a shocking incident. Platoon commander Tikaram Laria and head constable Mehtab Singh Thakur succumbed to bullet injuries while another cop, Sanjay Singh, sustained injury and was rushed to hospital," Inspector General of Police (Bastar range) T J Longkumer said.
An official at the police headquarters here said Minj was frustrated after being denied leave for a long period.
