Chhattisgarh home minister escpaes unhurt in mishap

Two cars in the cavalcade of Chhattisgarh home minister Ram Sewak Sagra met with an accident near Pharam village in Aurangabad on Tuesday evening.

The minister escaped unhurt even as 12 supporters including some of his security personnel were injured in the mishap.

SP, Aurangabad Upendra Sharma confirmed the incident stating that the minister was not hurt . " A few persons have been injured. We are looking into the case," he said. Sources said the mishap took when the pilot car of the carcade travelling on NH-2 on way to Gaya hit a motorbike and rammed with each other.

There were 40 cars in the cavalcade going to Baidynath dham in Deoghar. The minister was on way to Deoghar to offer prayers in the ongoing Shravan festival.

The injured have been admitted in a local hospital. One person identified as Dinesh Kumar Shukla has been arrested in this connection, sources said.
