James Bond is finally set to make his official debut in China with Casino Royale scheduled to hit screens nationwide January 30.
Casino Royale is the first of the 21 Bond films, which stretch back nearly 45 years, to win authorisation to be screened in China.
The new Bond Daniel Craig and ravishing actress Eva Green, along with director Martin Campbell, were to attend premieres in Beijing Monday and Shanghai Tuesday.
The movie tells the story of how James Bond manages to prevent a banker working for terrorist organisations from winning a high-stakes tournament at Casino Royale.
The movie is reported to have already raked in over $500 million at the box office, making it the top-grossing Bond film of all time.
It won approval from China's State Administration of Radio, Film, and TV (SARFT) late last year with no cuts requested by the administration.
