Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) founder Chiranjeevi on Saturday hit out at Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, saying he has become a "real estate hero".
"Rajasekhara Reddy has become a real estate hero as corruption in `Jalayagnam' (an ambitious irrigation scheme) was rampant," the actor-politician said addressing an election rally at Sircilla town in the district.
Chiranjeevi also targeted TDP President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, alleging agriculture and farmers were neglected during his 10-year rule in the state.
Speaking at the well-attended rally at Sircilla, from where Chiranjeevi had started his statewide tour after launching his party in August 2008, said he is visiting the town for the third time to console the weavers.
He promised to visit the weaver's town again if his party is voted to power in the Assembly polls, being held along with Lok Sabha elections. The PRP chief said suicide by weavers is continuing unabated.
Chiranjeevi said PRP has allotted 104 Assembly tickets to backward caste candidates, the highest by a political party in the state.
He also addressed public meets at Bejjenki, Husnabad, Jammukunta, Choppandandi and Karimnagar.
